ROSES

WHERE ARE SCENTIFOLIA ROSES BRED?

Scentifolia's Roses have been bred by some of the oldest and finest breeders in the world! The roses have then been selected for the cut flower market to make sure they perform in your vase by lasting a full 5 days.

WHERE ARE SCENTIFOLIA ROSES GROWN?

Our garden roses are grown high in the Andes Mountains in Bogotá, Colombia. The warm days and cold nights are perfect for rose growing. Because we are close to the ecuator, we don’t have any seasons and our roses enjoy spring weather all year long.

HOW LONG WILL THESE GARDEN ROSES LAST?

Scentifolia Roses have a guarantee of 5 days of vase life, but in normal conditions (and following care and handling procedures, your garden roses should last over a week. If your roses do not last a full 5 days, call us for an immediate replacement. Our roses are special and we want to make sure that you experience them as such.

HOW FRESH ARE THE ROSES WHEN RECEIVED?

Our garden roses are cut first thing in the morning as the sun is coming out. This is when they are fully hydrated and ready to be delivered. Roses are shipped that same afternoon and will arrive to your house 2 days after having been cut!

WHY AREN'T MY ROSES BLOOMING?

If you follow our care and handling instructions carefully, there is still a chance that our roses will not perform. This is usually due to extreme heat or cold during transportation. If your roses do not perform and do not amaze you for 4 or 5 days, please call us for an immediate replacement.

CAN I EXTEND THE LIFE OF MY ROSES?

Yes. For best results:

  • Process the roses as soon as they arrive following our care and handling procedure.
  • Place vase in the coolest part of your home and away from heat sources and drafts.
  • Place a few cubes of ice in the vase in the afternoons.
  • Be sure to refill your vase with water periodically. The number one reason roses die prematurely is because they run out of water!

After your garden roses have been in the vase for three to four days or if the vase water looks dirty, you can process the roses all over again and extend their vase life significantly:

Re-cut half an inch from the bottom of the stems, remove any dead foliage or an y leaves that lie below the water line, disinfect the vase, add fresh clean water and flower food (if you don’t have any flower food, add a cap full of bleach and a few drops of lemon juice to the vase water), and add a few ice cubes to the water.

WHEN WILL SCENTIFOLIA ROSES LOOK THE BEST AND HOW CAN THEY BE PREPARED FOR A SPECIAL DATE OR EVENT?

To get the most beauty from your garden roses, you want to show them after they have been in water for four or five days. This means roses should be ordered four days in advance before the event which will allow them time to open and reveal their full beauty.

CAN THE PETALS FROM THE ROSES BE USED TO MAKE POTPOURRI?
